All photography will be available shortly as prints with white matte, backing board, and archival plastic cover through this site. While I get that running, if you have any questions or wish to order anything you see here, please contact me at airanw at gmail.com. Most images available up to 20"x30" in size. I take pictures of the things we see every day, but in ways we don't normally get the chance to view. Dead leaves scattering in the breeze yield a rich brilliance of color under the lens. Nondescript weeds divulge vicious hooks and heart-shaped buds when examined up close. Rain in late fall freezes and encapsulates bright red berries on trees, leaving them suspended like crystalline statues. Sunlight reflects off the multifaceted eyes of a bug that could have been mistaken for a leaf from afar, but when seen up close looks disturbingly like the marbled rind of a watermelon. These things exist in our neighborhoods, amazing things that get lost in the mix, that disappear into the background noise of our commute. By capturing these moments and displaying them, I hope to remind us all to open our eyes during those times when we otherwise tune out; perhaps you'll see something you've never seen before. |
